Six players will not be available for Liverpool's match against West Ham, but a midfielder is close to returning.

When Liverpool plays West Ham at Anfield tonight, they will attempt to win their second straight game in the Premier League for the second time this year.

With a 1-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City on Sunday, Liverpool stunned the rest of the Premier League and attempted to put their rocky start to the season behind them.

Following Mohamed Salah's goal late in the second half, Liverpool moved up to eighth place in the standings, giving them their first chance to actually gain momentum this year. The victory was costly because Diogo Jota sustained a "serious calf injury".

After recovering from an ankle injury sustained during the loss at Arsenal, Trent Alexander-Arnold was unexpectedly added to the Liverpool team's starting lineup in the victory over City. Last night, Calvin Ramsay scored in youth action against Accrington Stanley after coming on as a substitute. However, this makes it extremely unlikely that he will appear this evening.

With both Luis Diaz and Jota expected to be sidelined until after the World Cup, Jurgen Klopp will be left wondering who can fill the void left by the injured pair. On the left side of the forward line, Fabio Carvalho might get the chance to shine.

Naby Keita is back in training, according to the Liverpool manager, but he won't be available for the visit from David Moyes' team. This season, the midfielder has yet to appear. Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate will still be missing.

In the victory over City, Curtis Jones was back on the bench, according to Klopp "Curtis was sitting on a bench. It was obvious that we were not going to engage him; we simply had room. He is in training and appears excellent while in training, but he still needs more training before he is actually available. After two days, he might be a step closer at this point. However, he didn't train yesterday, so he's only half-way there."

Adrian, Alisson, and Caoimhin Kelleher are the goalkeepers.

Defenders: Virgil van Dijk, Calvin Ramsay, Nat Phillips, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andy Robertson (played last night).

Fabinho, Fabio Carvalho, Harvey Elliott, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, and Naby Keita are among the midfielders on the field (back in training but ruled out).
