Real Madrid forward and Ballon d'Or winner Manuel Pellegrini is praised as the "COMPLETE PLAYER" by KARIM BENZEMA.

Karim Benzema was once under the management of Manuel Pellegrini at Real Madrid, but even though the manager left the Spanish team in 2010, Benzema has remained for more than ten years. The French international Benzema recently won the Ballon d'Or, and his former coach, who is now at Real Betis, was glowing in his praise. To win the Ballon d'Or, Benzema defeated Sadio Mane and Kevin de Bruyne.

Karim Benzema, according to Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini, deserved his 2022 Ballon d'Or award for being "a complete player."

At the age of 34, Benzema won the individual award for the first time in his career and took home the trophy earlier this week.

For at least the past two years, the French forward has been in outstanding form and has grown in importance for Real Madrid. He scored 44 goals in 46 club appearances last season, which is a record for him and helped him win the Champions League and La Liga.

While former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as well as former Barcelona rivals, appear to have started to regress, Benzema has improved and Pellegrini thinks it was appropriate to give him the Ballon d'Or.

It is beyond dispute that Karim Benzema deserves the honor, he told Marca. He is a complete player because in addition to scoring goals, he also comes up with them.

When Benzema first joined Real Madrid in 2009–10, Pellegrini was the club's manager. Despite the Chilean's brief stay in Madrid before leaving to manage other teams, including a Premier League-winning stint at Manchester City a few years later, he acknowledged how impressive Benzema's longevity has been.

"It was fortunate for me that he joined Real Madrid the same year I did. Being a key player at Real Madrid for ten years is not simple, he continued.

In 615 games for Real, Benzema has scored 328 goals. In addition to winning numerous awards, he defeated Gonzalo Higuain's challenge to maintain his position as the preferred striker.

He has won the Copa del Rey twice and La Liga four times. He and his team have five times won the Champions League.

He successfully returned to the French national team under Didier Deschamps after taking some time off, and he now has a Nations League champion medal to show for it.

Real Madrid now holds a three-point advantage over rival Barcelona at the top of the Liga standings following their Clasico victory over them over the weekend.
